Three years ago today, I married my best friend and the man of my dreams.
Three years ago, I never would have dreamt we would be where we are today.
I love our life together and the last amazing and full three years.
Today, I am overwhelmed with thankfulness for such a blessed life.
We celebrated the last three years by having an anniversary date (thanks to our friends kelly and ryan). We went to our favorite restaurant Abigail's in Rocheport. We just LOVE going there. We have decided that it is our anniversary tradition from now on. (we went last year too.) It is the cutest little restaurant ran by a married couple. The husband is the chef and the wife waits on all the tables. They menu is always changing with new dishes, yet the meals are always amazingly delicious and full of unique flavor. I ordered sweet potato ravioli with blue cheese, pecans, and cranberries.... sounds weird, but so good! Dessert is the best part.. of course we got something chocolate. Chocolate raspberry pie! YUM
We enjoyed the evening walking around cute rocheport and then stopped into the local General Store to listen to some live music and to play a game of 3D tick-tack-toe. (try it sometime.. really fun!) Then we decided to head downtown to catch a movie at ragtag - a fun little theatre connected to a bar/coffee shop that plays independent films. We enjoyed a glass of wine while we watched "Midnight in Paris." Cute movie... nothing to rave about though. We had a great night... then as we were walking out to our car, we realized our car was gone! We both stood there in shock, running through all the possibilities of where our car could be. "Did we park
somewhere else?, Did someone steal our car? Have we been pranked?" Then we see two cops giving tickets to cars near by, we kindly approached the cops explaining our vanishing car and we were informed that the street we had parked on had been turned into a taxi zone and that our car had been towed! Yup... "happy anniversary!"
HA! The truth is, that even though our car was towed and we had to pay an arm and a leg to get it back, I seemed to fall in love with my husband even more that night. I have always know that seth is a calm and gentle man, but the way he handle such a "unhappy" ending to a wonderful night made me proud and honored to be his wife. He treated the police man and tow employees with such respect and kindness, never once showing anger or frustration. He later said to me, "they are just doing their job." We laughed about it and really just brushed it off our shoulders... life is too short to stress or waste energy on unlucky events. It is things like that make memories and keep us glued together.
Thank you seth for the last three wonderful years! I can't wait for all the years and memories to come!
P.S. Oh and today he not only brought home pink roses but chocolate too! I am one happy girl! :)
.
happy anniversary, sweet freemans!
