Three years!

Three years ago today, I married my best friend and the man of my dreams.
Three years ago, I never would have dreamt we would be where we are today.
I love our life together and the last amazing and full three years.
Today, I am overwhelmed with thankfulness for such a blessed life.

We celebrated the last three years by having an anniversary date (thanks to our friends kelly and ryan). We went to our favorite restaurant Abigail's in Rocheport. We just LOVE going there. We have decided that it is our anniversary tradition from now on. (we went last year too.) It is the cutest little restaurant ran by a married couple. The husband is the chef and the wife waits on all the tables. They menu is always changing with new dishes, yet the meals are always amazingly delicious and full of unique flavor. I ordered sweet potato ravioli with blue cheese, pecans, and cranberries.... sounds weird, but so good! Dessert is the best part.. of course we got something chocolate. Chocolate raspberry pie! YUM
We enjoyed the evening walking around cute rocheport and then stopped into the local General Store to listen to some live music and to play a game of 3D tick-tack-toe. (try it sometime.. really fun!) Then we decided to head downtown to catch a movie at ragtag - a fun little theatre connected to a bar/coffee shop that plays independent films. We enjoyed a glass of wine while we watched "Midnight in Paris." Cute movie... nothing to rave about though. We had a great night... then as we were walking out to our car, we realized our car was gone! We both stood there in shock, running through all the possibilities of where our car could be. "Did we park
somewhere else?, Did someone steal our car? Have we been pranked?" Then we see two cops giving tickets to cars near by, we kindly approached the cops explaining our vanishing car and we were informed that the street we had parked on had been turned into a taxi zone and that our car had been towed! Yup... "happy anniversary!"
HA! The truth is, that even though our car was towed and we had to pay an arm and a leg to get it back, I seemed to fall in love with my husband even more that night. I have always know that seth is a calm and gentle man, but the way he handle such a "unhappy" ending to a wonderful night made me proud and honored to be his wife. He treated the police man and tow employees with such respect and kindness, never once showing anger or frustration. He later said to me, "they are just doing their job." We laughed about it and really just brushed it off our shoulders... life is too short to stress or waste energy on unlucky events. It is things like that make memories and keep us glued together.

Thank you seth for the last three wonderful years! I can't wait for all the years and memories to come!

P.S. Oh and today he not only brought home pink roses but chocolate too! I am one happy girl! :)

hot hot hot

I really love summer. I love everything about summer... the hot weather, pool, flowers, shorts, flip flops, ice tea, smell of sunscreen, BBQ's, I love it all! I would rather be flaming hot then cold ANY day.... and could handle most levels of heat in the summer. As a kid we lived at the pool. No really, my hair turned green every summer because of it. If it were up to me, I would still live at the pool... but, it's not about just me anymore. ;) I have to worry about my little "whitey" who tends to melt in this summer heat. Jackson has his mom's love for the pool and summer fun, but the poor thing is a heater and has't build up the "campbell tolerance" of summer pool livin' yet.
Columbia is in the middle a week of hot hot hot weather, so we are trying to avoid sun strokes by finding indoor fun. We have already been to the library, watched nemo, made no-bake cookies (we don't need anymore heat in the house), read all the books we got from the library, made ice tea (jackson is a crazy kid and loves ice tea), and had a dance party. As I sit in the cool air conditioned apartment (trying not to think about how much our AC will cost this month), I can't help but dream about our vacation to Denver this past May. We went to visit some of my dearest friends from college, Hana and Jana. We had a wonderful time and the weather was absolutely perfect the whole time we were there. The kind of weather where the sun is nice and bright but the breeze is blowing to where you never get hot.... yup, perfection! We spent every second soaking up the breathless mountain views and the gorgeous days while we were there.

And of course... the boys went fishing too.

But we are not in denver, but back in hot and humid missouri! I am hoping for a break in the heat so we can get back outdoors and in the pool again! Wait... who needs a real pool anyways... when you can pretend to swim inside.
Anything is possible when you wear goggles!

here goes nothing.

So I caved and started a blog. After reading so many blogs, from friends to strangers, and really enjoying them, I have decided to dive in and try it myself. I am not sure exactly what I will be posting or who will want to read this, but here goes nothing. ;)
For those that want to know, my name is Antonia Freeman (annie to most people) and I live with my wonderful husband seth and beautiful two year old boy jackson. My two boys are my world and I love them so much. We live in columbia, mo and have been here for three years. Seth is in medical school at the university of missouri and I am a full time stay-at-home mama. (hardest and best job I have ever had.)
I love this crazy life that we have been given and I feel incredibly blessed. God is so good to us and I feel his love sprinkled all over my life. This blog will be a smorgasbord of thoughts, pictures, projects and clips of this freeman life. Come and go as you please :)
